Caravan Servicing in Aberdeenshire
Caravan Servicing
Ecosse Caravan Services Ltd provides professional mobile caravan servicing across Aberdeenshire and the North East of Scotland. We carry out full habitation checks, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs at your home, workplace, campsite, or storage location — delivering workshop-level standards with complete convenience.
Why Regular Caravan Servicing is Important
Regular caravan servicing is essential to maintain safety, reliability, and long-term value. A properly serviced caravan is not only more dependable in use, but can also retain a higher resale value over time.
Keeping your caravan in a safe condition is a legal responsibility, and failure to maintain key systems can lead to serious safety risks. While basic checks such as tyres and lights should be carried out by the owner, more complex systems must be inspected by qualified professionals.
This includes critical components such as the braking system, electrical installations, and gas systems within the habitation area — all of which require specialist knowledge and testing equipment to ensure safe operation.
To keep your caravan in optimal condition, we recommend:
-
Annual servicing by a qualified engineer
-
Regular maintenance checks throughout the year
-
Proper winter preparation and storage
For complete peace of mind, servicing should always be carried out by accredited professionals operating to recognised industry standards, such as AWS (Approved Workshop Scheme) or MCEA-certified engineers.

Electrical Test and Inspection
Is your Caravan over 3 years old? Do you remember when it had its last Electrical Inspection?
At Ecosse Caravan Services Ltd., we provide an essential service known as the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), which plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and of your caravan.
Our service is billed at an hourly rate of £60 plus VAT, and the time required for the inspection can vary based on the size of your caravan's installation and the specific equipment that needs to be tested.
Although the testing is not, compulsory we strongly encourage it, as the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) recommends that caravans undergo inspection and testing at least once every three years.
This is particularly important because the nature of caravan travel—being driven on the road—can lead to vibrations that may loosen connections or cause damage to components over time.
By utilizing our specialized testing equipment, we can effectively identify any potential issues, ensuring that you and others remain safe while on the road. Remember, this important test can be performed before your annual service or at any time you feel necessary.
Your safety is our top priority!
